The campaign "Angels above Latvia" ends with a great result — assistance will be provided to 94 children across Latvia!
LNT, Rimi and the Children's Hospital Foundation are grateful to all contributors. A fantastic amount of EUR 215 243.12 has been donated by January 31! The funds will provide the opportunity to help 94 children in need of serious help, and the campaign organizers are grateful to everyone who helped the children to get the most important thing in the campaign "Angels above Latvia" — a beam of hope and opportunity to fight the disease!
At the end of last year, on December 19, during the great live Christmas concert within the framework of a sincere campaign "Angels above Latvia", EUR 153 473.08 were donated! However, in order to be able to help other seriously ill children whose parents had asked the Children's Hospital Foundation for help, every person of good will was invited to help, by donating to the charity campaign "Angels above Latvia" until 31 January of this year. It was possible to donate funds via donation boxes at Rimi and Supernetto stores all over Latvia, cash savings on the loyality card "My Rimi" at kiosks and website www.mansrimi.lv, by purchasing special promotional products at Rimi and Supernetto stores, by making a transfer at the website www.bsf.lv, by calling 90006486 (EUR 1.42), as well as through Mobilly's application and website.
Liene Dambiņa, Head of Children's Hospital Foundation: "In the Children's Hospital Foundation, we believe that good results can be achieved only by working in a team when parents, doctors and peers help the child recover. The campaign "Angels above Latvia" is a wonderful example, and this teamwork was well seen at the live charity concert, as the patients and their families were together with doctors and nurses, musicians and supporters, as well as thousands of people who joined the campaign and helped."
The fundraising is closed and, thanks to the people's high responsiveness, a total amount of EUR 215 243.12 has been donated to help not only Anna, Lūkass, Reinis, and Krišjānis, but also 90 more children! All together, we have succeeded in making it possible for children with special needs to start a new life.
"With each and even the smallest donation, Rimi and Supernetto visitors have devoted so much light thoughts and good wishes to children for them to recover! Thanks to everyone for the contribution — to the buyers who purchased the special campaign items of the "Angels above Latvia", and the orchids, and transferred cash savings on their loyalty cards "My Rimi", as well as donated in donations boxes — all together we will be able to improve the daily lives of so many children!" — says Inga Bite, Rimi Latvia Public Relations Manager.
L.Dambiņa continues: ‘"very one of 94 children who needs help improve their health this year, the peer support is very important, even decisive. For some children, the quality of life will improve already next month, when we would have taken care of the necessary support device, for somebody, there will be serious and continuous work to recover and improve health. This is just the second year when the Children's Hospital Foundation is taking part in a charity campaign, but we can already confirm that the peer help has great results, with a very direct and very positive impact on the lives of many children and their families. Sincere thanks to everyone who formed and continues to build an angels team for our children in Latvia!"
Thanks to any guardian angel who donated to the sincere campaign "Angels above Latvia"!
